It is very important to us that we listen and act upon feedback that patients and the public have taken time and effort to share with us. We publish survey and consultation results on our website and share the results directly with participants. Survey for Children and Young People about Kooth
Kooth is an online counselling and emotional well-being service for children and young people aged 11 – 19 that’s been running across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes for the last 12 months.
We want to know what children and young people think about Kooth and if it has helped them.
Your Experience of Healthcare during the Coronavirus Pandemic (survey now closed)
Over the past few weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has changed all our lives, transformed our views of what is important and posed a considerable challenge to our healthcare services.
We are now asking you to share your experiences of the pandemic and the impact it is having on your life, your health, and your wellbeing. We would like to hear your experiences of health services to help us identify how services are adapting and working well during the coronavirus outbreak, and to highlight issues and challenges that need further work and improvement.
Diabetes Services (survey now closed)
We are looking at how we can make general service improvements to the way that existing Diabetes services are provided. With developing new services, our intention is that they integrate with the hospital Diabetes departments, GP practices, community services and the voluntary sector to ensure the best service for our patients.
Building Healthier Partnerships - Working with our Communities
As part of the BLMK ICS, we have joined a programme called Building Health Partnerships. The programme explores how local groups and organisations can work together to deliver valuable services in their local community that help people stay healthy and well.
SEND provision in Bedford Borough - Parent/Carer Survey
Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will jointly carry out a re-visit of Bedford Borough following the previous inspection that took place in February 2018.
During the re-visit in February 2020, Ofsted and CQC inspectors will be keen to speak to as many children and young people and their parents and carers as possible.
There are several ways in which children, young people, parents and carers can engage with the re-visit process and contribute their views including a survey and open meeting.

Autism Bedfordshire Children's Services Consultation
Autism Bedfordshire is conducting a survey to find out what the need is for families who have a child/ren with ASC (diagnosed or undiagnosed) in Bedfordshire. With the feedback, they are hoping it will help shape their future services to try to meet the current need.

Heart and Lung Conditions (surveys closed 20 December 2019)
Bedfordshire CCG is considering the way heart and lung services are provided in Bedfordshire. We are looking at how we can make improvements to the way that heart and lung services are delivered and how we can bring care out of hospital and closer to home. We want to find out what works well and where we could improve support services to keep people with heart and lung conditions healthy and well.

Engaging communities to develop a plan for health and care transformation #BLMKFutureNHS
A campaign to understand what is important to local communities about the future of health and care services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) was run with local health and care organisation’s capturing the views of local people at events across the region.
The campaign, which includes a short survey, ran until mid-September 2019 under the title #BLMKfutureNHS and provided BLMK residents and communities with an opportunity to share their views about existing services and what is important to them for the future. #BLMKfutureNHS will build upon the work that local organisations have done to involve and engage local people to shape the services that they use.

Healthwatch Engagement on NHS Long-Term Plan (survey closed 30 April 2019)
NHS England have asked Healthwatch (via local Healthwatches) to engage with the public on the content of the NHS Long Term Plan. Our local Healthwatches will therefore be doing targeted public engagement to find out what local people think. We will be able to draw on this engagement as we develop a longer-term plan for the Integrated Care System, due in the autumn.
Dunstable Integrated Health and Care Hub – Public Consultation (Survey closed on 7 April 2019)
BCCG has been working with local GP surgeries, Central Bedfordshire Council and other partners on plans for an integrated health and care Hub in Dunstable town centre. The Hub which is proposed to be built on land behind GObowling, would provide extended care and support to the people of Dunstable and surrounding areas.
Biddenham New Build Primary Care Facility (Survey closed on 31 March 2019)
It is important that primary care services can meet the demand of growing populations and BCCG has to consider the way it delivers services across Bedfordshire now and in the future.
We would like to hear patients and local residents’ views on the proposal to build a new surgery in Biddenham and to re-locate the two branch surgeries in Bromham.

Primary Care - The Village Medical Centre, Great Denham
Services provided at GP practices are arranged through contracts with individual providers to run individual practices and services.
The GP services at The Village Medical Centre, Great Denham are currently provided by NHSolutions, their caretaker contract will end on 31 March 2019.
To help ensure the most suitable provider is chosen, we engaged with patients at the practice to capture their feedback and gather opinions on new ways of working.
Putnoe Walk-in Centre Consultation - This consultation has now closed.
The public consultation showed resoundingly that residents in Bedford want to retain a walk in service in the north of the borough. We listened and have agreed a new contract, which means that walk in services will continue to be delivered at Putnoe Medical Centre and run in tandem with the new Urgent Treatment Centre on the south wing of Bedford Hospital.
BLMK Perinatal Patient Experience Questionnaire - This survey has now closed
This questionnaire is aimed at mothers that may have suffered from a mental illness in the Perinatal period (From conception through to the child being 1 years old) in Luton, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes. This work is being undertaken by the East of England Clinical Networks and the data will be shared with local leaders such as providers, commissioners and professionals in the field to help them re-design and re-shape services in the area that are more tailored around the patient
