The Bedfordshire Plan for Patients 2016-17 brings together everything that is important to us as commissioners of health services for Bedfordshire.
The Plan for Patients 2016-17 has been developed by asking for, and listening to, the views of local people, people who use services, who provide the service or just want to see a better service for their relatives and loved ones.
It outlines our plans and projects and how we aim to improve health and wellbeing for local people over the next two years. It also includes how we expect this work to impact on our financial balance, and starts to build the foundation for our five year strategic plan.
Our Plan for Patients is developed by working in partnership with other organisations, such as Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council, and our two local Health and Wellbeing Boards. Our two local Better Care Fund (BCF) plans (BCF - Bedford Borough and BCF - Central Bedfordshire) will bring health and social care resources together to allow Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and our local authorities to commission integrated services, which will support improvement of the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, placing them at the centre of their own care.
Quality is at the heart of everything we do and we aim to ensure, through innovative, responsive and effective clinical commissioning, that our population has access to the highest quality health care providing the best patient experience possible within available resources.
