Get involved

Bedfordshire CCG is committed to listening and responding to people's experiences of local healthcare services.

Learning from, and engaging with, local people in developing and improving local services will ensure that the services we commission and deliver are safe, appropriate, effective and of a high standard.

We proactively seek the views of patients, the public, carers, our staff, partners and other stakeholders, to ensure that there are opportunities to inform all levels of our decision making.  We endeavour to follow the Gunning Principles in our work.

We strive to be inclusive, so hold meetings in accessible venues, provide information in a different formats - for example larger print, easy read or provide translators on request, and use language appropriate to the audience.

It is important to us that patients and the public know how their views will inform decisions, and which decisions they can be involved in, as well as when and how decisions will be made.

There are many ways you can get involved.  You can do any, or all of the following:

Social Media

We regularly contact our Public Members when we are conducting consultations, surveys or other engagement activities and often publicise these on social media.

Tell us your experiences of a local health service:

  • Use Care Opinion to tell your story and read about other people's experiences. (Change the text in the link to Care opinion)
  • Look at our Advice for patients and carers web pages to find out how to talk to us or for advice on how to make a complaint.
