We are a group of nine GP practices located in the rural south-eastern corner of Bedfordshire, covering Arseley, Stotfold, Biggleswade and Shefford.
Compared to other parts of the region, our population is relatively healthy and life expectancy is higher than the national average.
Our focus is to provide high quality healthcare to meet the needs of our local population. As there is no general hospital in our area, we work hard to provide a wide range of healthcare services from our GP practices. We are continuing to expand the services available to our patients and provide care closer to home.
Our locality borders the counties of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire and patients can choose which hospital they wish to be referred for treatment which includes Lister, Addenbrookes and Hinchingbrooke, as well as Bedford Hospital
All of our GP practices work together with our partners to ensure the best possible healthcare for our local population. Our locality delivery plan sets out our priorities, plans and objectives for the next year.
Our local strategy and objectives contribute to the overall aims of the clinical commissioning group as set out in the Bedfordshire Clincal Commissioning Group Strategic Commissioning Plan and in the Bedfordshire Plan for Patients A key part of our work is to ensure we involve local people and patients in everything we do.
